eLaw Open Minded #4: 'Artificial Intelligence and Criminal Law'
- Monday 19 April 2021
- Online MS Teams
For the 4th Open Minded session of this academic year, Beatrice Panattoni, a researcher at the University of Verona will present her research:
The passage from technological automation to artificial autonomy poses many challenges to Criminal Law, one of which concerns the emergence of AI systems’ functioning, which makes responsibility models based on the human agent’s control role out-of-date. As happened with computer crimes and cybercrimes, AI applications will soon usher in a new generation of AI-related crimes.
Open Minded is a lecture series organized by eLaw (Center for Law and Digital Technologies), wherein professionals working in the domain of law and digital technologies are invited to present their research, perspectives, or ongoing work.
All are welcome to attend. Please email
