Welcome and thank you for your interest in Helping Hand!

This project means to bring together the community of disabled and chronically ill students and center our experiences, grievances and joy while studying. For now, there are two main parts to this project: monthly hybrid meetings, always on Saturdays, and peer-support for medical or disability-related issues, where students can be paired up with someone with the skills, time or space to help them out!

Our next meeting is taking place 16 April.

You are welcome to join online or in person. We will have a fully hybrid event with activities prepared for a good hybrid experience. We meet in person in the ESN Common room in the Beehive (Turfmarkt 104, Den Haag).

Those joining in person are required to present proof of vaccination or test, and need to wear a mask throughout the event, to ensure safety for all members of the community.

We have created a whatsapp group for students interested in the project which you can join here.

Sign up for our upcoming meetings through this link.

Note: Non-disabled people are welcome to join, but not to use this as a space to learn and de-construct their ableism, but rather to support other students. The experiences and needs of disabled and chronically ill students will be prioritised in our space.

Helping hand is backed-up by the JEDI fund of the Humanities faculty, but everyone is welcome to join!
