In this presentation Maria Thürk will outline her research on minority governance and shed light on minority cabinet formation, duration and legislative performance. Moreover, she will present results on how the formal support for minority cabinets increases a support party’s policy pay-offs but also how supporting affect the support party’s perception in public and it’s electoral performance. This is particularly timely because of the possibility that after the upcoming elections, the Netherlands may have minority government.
