Did you know that our faculty offers a small programme with the size of a minor? The 30 EC Honours programme starts in February of your first year and ends at the end of your third year.

Do you want more information? In October and November, we offer four information meetings in English and four meetings in Dutch at Wijnhaven for Security Studies and Public Administration (BA/BSc) students with afterwards the possibility to apply:

Please register for the meetings via this form.

Main language of this meeting is English.

About the honours programme

The programme offers skill building courses like negotiations LAB, multilateral negotiations and crucial skills, and courses about global security, governance, and justice & equality. All courses are interrelated and useful in addition to your Security Studies. You may also practice/test your working skills in a small internship to be found by yourself.

Workload and costs

The workload on top of your bachelor is around 6 hours a week, the lectures are mainly in the evening, Friday afternoons or in the weekends.
The programme is for free.

For whom?

The honours programme Governance and Global Affairs is especially made for students who do not think of themselves as Honours students. You should be willing to learn new skills, curious to broaden your own study and be able to enjoy the years in our programme.
So, if you doubt if you are able to do our programme, please sign up for one of our meetings and find out if our programme is something for you.

We also organise four Dutch meetings about this honours programme. You will find more information on this webpage.
