Today, action movies are packed with action choreography, hand-to-hand combat, martial arts, and more. Incredibly cool, of course, but how did this evolve? Over the years, various camera and editing techniques have emerged within Hollywood and Hong Kong cinema to make these fight scenes as engaging as possible. Unfortunately, not every camera and editing technique is equally good or successful. In his passion talk, Casper discusses different ways to make fight scenes interesting, the pros and cons of these camera and editing techniques, and why The Raid: Redemption is one of the best action movies he has ever seen.
