Are you a master's student, PhD candidate, junior or mid-career professional and are you interested in working at an international organisation? Join this event on Thursday 16 April 2026: 17.00 – 18:30!

This event is hosted by Jean-Pierre Kempeneers, Career Counselor, former Chief Corporate Affairs and Senior Vice-President at Nexperia, former Ambassador and member of the advisory board and alumnus of Leiden University.

Topics that will be highlighted:

  • How to find a position as a junior?
  • What are the organisations and how to find them?
  • What type of positions do they offer?
  • How to network if you do not yet know anyone at an organisation?
  • Are there things in the CV or motivation letter a student has to focus on to have better chances at these kinds of organisations?
  • What to do to stand out?

Jean-Pierre Kempeneers

Jean-Pierre is Career Counselor and former Nexperia's Chief of Corporate Affairs that includes Public Affairs, Communications and Digital Marketing.

He previously worked at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs starting in 1995, with an intermezzo of 2,5 years as Head of the Royal Philips EU office in Brussels, from 2014 to 2016.

Jean-Pierre was also Ambassador for international positions for 6 years and was posted to the Dutch Embassies in Vienna, Tel Aviv, the Dutch permanent representation to the United Nations in NYC, Warsaw and Port of Spain.

He holds a Master of Law from Leiden University.
