Issues of repatriation, curation and display

On the 21st of May the RMO will host the second MMU lecture afternoon. The talks (in English) will focus on human remains in museums and collections and specifically on issues of repatriation, curation and display. Speakers are Steph Scholten (director Hunterian), Elsbeth Dekker (PhD student VU) and Wonu Veys (curator Wereld Museum/professor BSA Art and Material culture Oceania).

Museum meets University (MMU) is a quarterly series of meetings at the crossroads of academic museology and museum practice. It aims to create a meeting zone and foster contact between Leiden University and the national museums of Leiden: Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, the National Museum of Antiquities, Wereldmuseum Leiden and Naturalis Biodiversity Center.
