Nobel Prize–winning economist Paul Krugman, one of the world’s most influential thinkers on international trade, economic geography, and public policy, will be holding a lecture in The Hague on 27 May.
This interactive event will focus on the challenges of policy development and public advisory in a time of political turbulence and geopolitical tension. It will explore how advisory councils, planning agencies, and other institutions can effectively support political leadership in navigating uncertainty, while safeguarding the quality, independence, and long-term orientation of policy advice. Particular attention will be given to the evolving role of evidence-based policymaking in complex and rapidly changing environments.
The event is organised in cooperation with UNL, Leiden University, and The Regional Science Academy (TRSA), and is intended for representatives of public institutions, advisory bodies, academia, and students.
Participation is by registration only. Further details on the programme will follow after pre-registration.
