About the session

During this online session, you will learn more about the Advanced Master Public International Law (LL.M.) and its two specialisations: International Criminal Law and Peace, Justice and Development. Staff members will provide an overview of the programme, its academic focus, and career perspectives, followed by the opportunity to ask your questions directly.

About the master Public International Law

The Advanced Master in Public International Law at Leiden University offers a comprehensive understanding of the rules that govern international relations in an increasingly complex global society. You will study the legal framework that underpins issues such as conflict, peacebuilding, human rights, and international justice.

Students choose one of two specialisations:

  • International Criminal Law, focusing on the prosecution of international crimes and the functioning of international courts.
  • Peace, Justice and Development, exploring how international law supports peacebuilding, economic development, and transitional justice.

Through in-depth seminars and workshops, you will be challenged to develop your own perspectives on the role and functioning of international law.
