The Veenhof-lecture is organised every year in November by the Netherlands Institute for the Near East in collaboration with the National Museum of Antiquities. The annual lecture is named after Prof. Dr. K.R. Veenhof, professor of Assyriology at Leiden University until 2002.
For both colleagues and students in the field of the Old Near East, as well as for the wider public, the Veenhof lecture is a great opportunity to hear an internationally renowned researcher talk about his or her recent research. All interested parties are most welcome.
