Who are we?
The Science Career Service team consists of three members; Career Advisors Ilse Huijskens and Annemarie Loeters and Student Assistant Joost Barendse.
Both Ilse and Annemarie work as Career Advisors at the Faculty of Science.
Ilse followed educational programs in Biotechnology and successively completed her PhD in Canada. She continued her academic career as postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Science (LACDR) and then made a career switch to recruitment and career counseling. With her researcher experience as well as her recruitment experience, she supports students in making effective study and career related choices. She also offers advice on career orientation to the Bachelor and Master programs within the Science faculty.
Annemarie has an academic educational background in Human Resources. She has experience in recruitment, amongst others with international and technical educated job seekers. From recruitment she developed herself in the direction of career coaching, being a qualified career coach since 2017. With a lot of joy and energy, she supports students, especially by giving them insights in themselves, towards the labour market.
Joost supports Science Career Service by organizing events and advising students.
