Finding and arranging
An internship or research project abroad is not only a fun and educational experience, it's also a great asset to your CV. As job markets are becoming increasingly international, employers tend to view international experience as a big advantage. Read more about how to arrange an internship or project abroad.
Take a look under your faculty or study programme tab for information about the options available for international internships or research projects.
Currently the university has decided to not allow any study-related activities abroad.
Only in exceptional cases it is possible to request an exemption to the no-travel rule. You can only submit a request if the internship takes place in your home country or if the organisation is located within three hours travelling (by car/train) from the Netherlands.
Please note: even in these cases, after the board of examiners has approved your internship plan, it is necessary to ask for an additional approval from the International Incident Team. This request can be submitted via this form, only after your internship plan has been approved.
