Finding and arranging
An internship or research project abroad is not only a fun and educational experience, it's also a great asset to your CV. As job markets are becoming increasingly international, employers tend to view international experience as a big advantage. Read more about how to arrange an internship or project abroad.
Take a look under your faculty or study programme tab for information about the options available for international internships or research projects.
From the 3rd of July students are not allowed to travel abroad for study-related activities. With regards to internships abroad, only in exceptional cases, permission will be granted. From August 27, requests for students of the Faculty of Humanities will be taken into consideration if the internship takes place in the student’s home country or if the internship takes place at a maximum of three hours travel (by car/train) from the Netherlands. Please note: Even in these cases, after the board of examiners has approved the internship plan, it is necessary to ask for approval from the International Incident Team. This request can be submitted via this form, only after your internship plan is approved.
