Campus The Hague comprises five locations, all right at the administrative heart of the city. Students, researchers and staff of Leiden University have found a place here that offers them a direct link to the main themes of The Hague, such as public administration and security. Would you like to organise an event at the Wijnhaven location?
Leiden University welcomes events that are educational, inspiring and socially engaged and that have a direct report with the education and research offered at Campus The Hague. With its various conference halls, lecture rooms and ‘Spanish Steps’, Campus The Hague is an excellent venue for all sorts of events, from presentations and workshops to conventions and seminars.
Please find information about the rooms and their facilities in this presentation.
For further information on how to book this location you can contact the External Relations coordinator of Campus The Hague via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by telephone: +31 (0)70 800 9070.
Right in the city centre is Wijnhaven, the beating heart of Campus The Hague. Around 3,500 students take classes here and in the other Campus The Hague buildings. There is also room for study, discussion and group work. Researchers and lecturers from six of the seven faculties teach or conduct research here. In addition, Delft University of Technology has a presence on the fifth floor, and there is a high-tech studio for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
Classrooms and silent study areas
Wijnhaven comprises almost 14,000m2 of teaching and research facilities, and offers 630 study spaces, 280 silent study spaces, 140 study spaces with a computer, a library, an information desk, an area for study associations and offices for around 250 members of the University staff. There are five lecture halls, both big and small, and 21 smaller classrooms with flexible walls. The Centre for Innovation’s Future Lab can be found on the first floor. Right next to the entrance is a coffee corner, and on the first floor there is not only a coffee bar but also a restaurant.
