Successful first Online Career Week

The first Online Career Week took place last week, from 11 to 15 May. Instead of the Campus The Hague and Humanities Career Event, the Career Services of 3 faculties organised this alternative. Almost 400 students signed up!

Another Online Career Week in June

The Online Career Week was organised by the Career Services of the Faculty Governance & Global Affairs, Humanities and Social and Behavioural Sciences. Every day of the week there were 2 events that students could sign up for.

For example, there was a Q&A with interns on the 12th of May. Three interns working for respectively Philips, the Dutch Mission to the UN, and the World Economic Forum provided the participants with information on their internships, the application processes and working from home! It turned out to be a very engaging interaction between students and interns. We hope to have encouraged prospective interns to find a suitable internship and that they will use the advice given by the speakers. As voiced by all three interns, the main take-away from this session was: do not give up after one rejection, keep applying and eventually you will find the internship of your dreams!

In addition, a live webinar CV writing took place on Monday, and students were able to schedule an appointment with a career counselor for personal advice on Thursday and Friday. Because many events filled up quickly, another Online Career Week will be organised in June.
