Leiden conference to look for emerging trends in global governance
Global challenges require global governance answers. For that reason, between 5 and 7 June, the interdisciplinary research programme Global Transformations and Governance Challenges (GTGC) has selected 'Emerging trends in global governance' as the theme of its annual conference. Researchers, students and practitioners are warmly invited to attend this three-day event.
Global problems demand global policy responses. Today’s key societal transformations (e.g. around culture, ecology, economics, geopolitics, health, inequality, migration and technology) are substantially global in character, and yet the availability and quality of global governance generally lags well behind the challenges. These circumstances urgently require innovative thinking and creative politics. That’s why the interdisciplinary research programme Global Transformations and Governance Challenges will look for answers to these issues during its annual conference.
If you're a researcher, student or practical expert, this conference is for you as it offers:
- Latest research ideas and concepts: the conference brings together the latest knowledge on global governance and policy
- Discussions on policy implications: the conference offers rich, varied academic research-policy exchange with practitioners
- Networking opportunities: the conference provides an exceptional networking platform with academics and practical experts from all world regions and across the academic spectrum
