Joris Koorneef wins 2025 Kleijn Thesis Prize

Joris Koorneef, a master’s student in Notarial Law, has won the annual Kleijn Thesis Prize. The jury choose his thesis on the gift and the legitimate portion in the transfer of an agricultural business as the winner.

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Prof. W.M. Kleijn (8 February 1927 – 4 March 2008), the StiBeCo Foundation made the Kleijn Thesis Prize available on 8 February 2017.

The prize consists of a sum of €2,500 and is awarded annually to the author of a master's thesis graded 8 or higher in one of these fields: matrimonial law and law of community property, inheritance law, notarial legislation or real estate law – the areas on which Professor Kleijn focused.
