Leiden Elective Academic Periodical - Special Issue #2 - Information Session

We'd hereby like to call your attention to a faculty-broad elective that will be taught next semester, titled "Leiden Elective Academic Periodical - Special Issue #2: Nature". Are you interested in writing an academic article under the supervision of two senior scholars? Would you like to collectively explore the ins and outs of publishing a journal and of working as part of an editorial team? Does collaborating with peers from different disciplines within the Humanities sound like an exciting challenge to you?
How to apply
Then we hereby invite you to submit an abstract of your proposed article fitting with the overarching theme of 'Nature' (understood in the broadest possible sense) to Nanne Timmer and Astrid Van Weyenberg (n.timmer@hum.leidenuniv.nl and a.l.b.van.weyenberg@hum.leidenuniv.nl). Please send us your 200 word abstract together with a paper you handed in for another course (in English or another language we can read) before 21 January 2022.
On the basis of the quality of both the submitted abstracts and the papers, we will select fifteen participants to become part of the team of authors and editors that will together launch the second issue of the Leiden Elective Academic Periodical (LEAP). The course code to register is 5000KLEAPW and the course will take place on Wednesdays from 17.00-19.00h in Lipsius 131.
