Lift
There is no lift in Matthias de Vrieshof 1-3. Access to higher floors is available via the lift in Matthias de Vrieshof 4.
Possible obstacles
- The route to the entrance consists of cobblestones.
- The doors do not open automatically and have a rotary knob.
- There is no doorbell.
- At the main entrance there is a threshold about 1 cm high.
- In the middle of the main entrance is a concrete pillar with no markings.
Parking in Leiden
City centre
Are you visiting the Hortus botanicus, student centre Plexus or one of our faculties in the centre of Leiden? There are (limited) opportunities for paid parking on the streets and along the canals. An alternative is Parking Leiden Haagweg car park, which is easily accessible from the access roads to Leiden. A free shuttle bus will take you to any location in the centre of Leiden and pick you up again at any time. You can also walk: the car park is about 15 minutes' walk from the city centre.
Leiden Bioscience Park
If you are visiting the University Sports Centre or the Gorlaeus Campus, you can park your car in the Ehrenfest parking garage. For parking near the Einthoven bulding or the Agora building (Faculty of Social and Behavioural Scienes) we refer you to Parking lot Rijnveste.
