Video: 'Is a meal sustainable if no one can afford it?'

Bachelor's students designed a sustainable meal for the LDE Sustainability Honours. In this programme, they seek interdisciplinary solutions to sustainability issues.

The honours programme brings together students from Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam. An important part of the programme is the Sustainability Challenge, in which students work in interdisciplinary teams on an issue proposed by a real-world organisation.

To get used to this approach, students dive into interdisciplinary group assignments. At a meeting in December, the task was to design and present a sustainable meal. But what does sustainability actually mean? How does this collaboration between disciplines work? And how do you approach it as a teacher? Find out in the video!
