HC Bèta and Life Science is the perfect course for students from the Faculty of Science and Biomedical Sciences who want to broaden their studies and their outlook on the scientific world.

There are range of associations available outside your faculty that offer social activities and opportunities to build new networks. These range from large student associations to clubs for people with similar interests, faiths and backgrounds.

Co-participation bodies promote the interests of students and staff by critically observing university policy and its implementation, and by playing an advisory and co-decision making role.

At Leiden University there are many associations that focus on specific fields of study or study-related skills. What better way to meet people with similar academic interests whilst developing skills that will help you during your studies and beyond.

You can enrich your student life by becoming a member of an association. This could be an association for students of the same discipline, a social student association, or an association for people with similar interests.

In the summer and spring, board members and key figures within student organisations can take part in free training sessions developed specifically for them. It’s also possible to follow a board training together as a team.
