A study association is a good way to combine study-related activities with pleasure. Every faculty has one or more study association.
Many study programmes have their own study association. For more information take a look under the faculty tab, or speak to the administration of your study programme.
Study Associations at Leiden Law School
A study association is an association for, and organised by, students of the same study programme or who share similar academic interests.
Study associations organise study-enhancing activities such as conferences, study trips and visits to firms. They also organise lectures and excursions and some supply study books and mock examinations. Social events are also organised including drinks, gala evenings and other festivities.
Most associations have an administrative board and a number of committees. Board members normally receive a grant while the other active members are usually volunteers. In some cases active members are also provided with some form of funding. This is at the discretion of the board of the association concerned.
Listed below are the study associations active at Leiden Law School. A few other student organisations are also listed that organise activities that could be relevant to law and criminology students. Don’t hesitate to contact an association if you are interested in attending one of their events or if you are thinking about getting involved in the work of these study associations or student organisations!
