The Leiden student Ekklesia (LSE) facilitates contemplation, inspiration, peace of mind and new encounters. It invites you to approach life in an open, inquisitive and active way and to evaluate your inner motives and attitudes to life.

The LSE is a socially-engaged organisation, that offers support to both members and other individuals,in the hope of contributing to a better world, with peace and justice for all. It is closely linked to both Leiden University and Leiden University of Applied Sciences.

Another part of LSE finds its inspiration in the Christian tradition and holds ecumenical services in the Hooglandse church. It also offers faith-based activities aimed at individuals who are commencing the next phase of their lives, after completing their studies.
