Study advisers

Your study adviser or coordinator is an expert on all aspects of your study programme. If you have any questions or concerns about your programme, whether they be of a practical or academic nature, you can contact your study adviser.

Academic issues

Are you experiencing academic difficulties? Or are you falling behind in your studies due to personal circumstances? If so, it is essential that you speak to your study adviser/coordinator as soon as possible. He or she can advise you on the best course of action and, if required, assist you in dealing with academic delay.

Practical issues

You can also speak to your study adviser about a range of practical issues concerning your programme, such as:

  • Planning your studies
  • Schedule issues
  • Choosing elective credits
  • Requesting exemptions
  • Advice on internship

Co-ordinator of Studies

For all questions and problems related to the progress of your studies, contact the Co-ordinator of Studies for your programme.

For specific questions relating to the academic content of the programme, exam regulations, courses and study scheduling (and delay) of your studies you can contact the study advisor. You can visit us, call us or send us an email.

Requests and application procedures

If you wish to adjust your curriculum or the format of a test or examination, or if you wish to apply for an additional resit, you should submit a request to the Board of Examiners of your study programme. Note that it is very important that you follow the correct procedure. Please visit the website for requests and application procedures.

What kind of information and advice can the Coordinators of Studies give you?

The Study Advisor/Coordinator of Studies of your programme is the person who knows most about the particular programme and is the person to approach if you have any questions (on study delay, planning, examination regulations, area choice, problems with thesis, etc.).

We are here to advise students about their programme, arrange all kinds of practical things (such as the schedule) and help students in case of personal issues. It is important to let us know of any personal circumstances that might cause a delay in your study progress.

Depending on the subject, we can give you personal advice, refer you to other relevant departments or contact other departments within the university. Always come to the study adviser if you (expect to) fall behind with your studies!
