For most study programmes there’s no need to take additional precautionary measures to ensure that your studies progress safely. However this isn’t the case for all programmes.
If you are following a programme that involves practical sessions, laboratory work and working with people or mother nature you are expected to take certain precautionary measures to avoid putting yourself at risk. Check under the faculty or study programme tab whether any safety measures are required for your programme and read the information carefully.
Always report incidents
Minor incidents, dangerous situations and needle injuries are more common than (serious) accidents. However you should always report incidents, no matter how minor. By reporting an incident you can help prevent accidents occurring in the future.
