Printing and copying

There are printers in most Leiden University buildings, which you can use for printing, copying and scanning. You can access the printers by using your student account.

How does it work?

Printing from a workstation with a computer

  1. Make sure you have enough credit on your account (see credit)
  2. Send a print request from the computer
  3. Go to a printer and log in with your LU card or student account
  4. Select the document you want to print

Printing from a laptop, tablet or phone

  1. Make sure you have enough credit on your account (see credit)
  2. Go to the Webprint website
  3. Log in with your student account
  4. Click on Web Print and follow the instructions
  5. Go to a printer and log in with your LU card or student account
  6. Select the document you want to print

Printing from a USB stick

You can also print pdf files only (no other file types) from a USB stick.

Scans

You can save scans onto a USB stick or you can send them to your uMail address. Instructions can be found near the printer.

Credit

To use a printer you must have sufficient credit on your student account.

Loading credit onto your account

There are two ways of loading credit onto your account:

  1. Via the Webprint website
  2. Via a PinPoint, which can be found at the following locations:

Refund of credit

  • If you lose credit due to a printer malfunction, you can report it via this form (in Dutch).
  • Do you have a balance greater than 3 euro that you won’t use any more? You can request a refund by completing this form. Refunds can only be made into Dutch bank accounts and a charge of 3 euros administration costs applies.
