POPcorner The Hague
I want to enhance my study skills, how can I do this? Where can I drop by to ask questions about making a success of my study? Where can I drop by to receive study support? I don’t feel connected to the university and am looking for a better connection. What can I do to contact other students? I’m looking for an extra challenge, where can I go?
Looking for a helping hand finding your way through your study programme and student life? Having doubts about your approach of your study programme or do you want to develop your skills? Do you want to get more out of your student days and contribute to helping your fellow students?
In all these cases, the POPcorner is the right place for you! We think it is important that everyone can make a good start. The POPcorner The Hague helps you to find your way within the university, faculty and study programme. We also facilitate activities that allow you to work on your personal and professional development.
Studying at a university is fun and can also be a challenge. You attend lectures, you study the material, you learn for exams, you make assignments and then there are all kinds of practical matters that you have to arrange. In addition, as a student you have a life outside the university that demands a lot from you. Think of social obligations, a household, a possible job on the side or membership of an association. Perhaps you are the first in your family to go to university in the Netherlands and this is still quite a search. Perhaps you have personal circumstances that demand a lot of your energy or even make studying extra complicated. You may experience stress or feel lonely. Or maybe you have extra energy that you want to put into a project for your fellow students.
Whatever your starting point may be, you are very welcome at the POPcorner The Hague. We are a meeting place for and by students where you can make contacts, follow workshops, organise activities and where your story is listened to.
