Study Abroad basics

Are you not yet sure if you want to study abroad? Or have you not yet looked into the details? Then this session is for you. The following topics will be discussed: 

  • What study abroad options are available? 
  • How do exchange programmes work and what are the pros and cons? 
  • What destinations are available via exchange? 
  • Where can I find more information?

In this presentation you'll hear the answers to questions such as: 

  • What are the conditions set by my study programme for studying abroad?
  • Where can I go as part of my study programme? 
  • What type of courses may I follow and how can I request approval of my courses? 
  • Are there any opportunities for internships or research programmes abroad? 
  • Who can I turn to for advice and guidance? 

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A.

*This Faculty of Science session specifically covers following courses abroad via exchange programmes. On Thursday morning at 11:00 the faculty will hold a session covering internships and research projects.

Once you've found out about the requirements and possibilities, it's time to consider where you want to go. What factors should you take into consideration? The following questions and subjects will be discussed: 

  • What are my specific preferences and needs? 
  • How can I search for interesting courses? 
  • How much will it all cost and what is my budget? 
  • Which destinations are safe? 
  • Going abroad in the time of corona: what do I have to take into consideration?
  • How can I go abroad sustainably and responsibly?
