Ceremony Rehearsal
Practice makes perfect and that’s why we organize a rehearsal before the ceremony. This rehearsal will start at 10:45 on stage in the hall where the ceremony will takes place. We will rehearse the procession, the conferring of the degrees and discuss the seating arrangements. Please note that the rehearsal on graduation day is really important, please make sure to arrive at the theatre on time!
Conferring of the Degrees
The conferring of the degrees will take place per major in alphabetical order. The Major Team Lead will give a short introduction of the major and will invite the graduating group of students to form a line on the side of the stage. Once the conferring of the degrees start you will be invited to the front of the stage one by one to receive your degree.
- Walk to the dean (middle of the stage).
- The dean hands you your diploma folder. Please accept the diploma with your left hand so you can shake hands with your right.
- While shaking hands, please look at the photographer to get your graduation picture taken.
- After the picture is taken, please move your tassel from right to left.
- Return to your place in line on the other side of the stage.
- Once everyone in your group has received their diploma you will all return to your seats.
