Online Teaching LUC Semester 1 -2020-21

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic LUC can unfortunately not use its usual intensive, on campus teaching model. We know that both instructors and students are very eager to get back into the classroom, but it will not yet be possible to return to the pre-COVID19 situation, as sad as that is. Health of the LUC and Leiden University community as well as those around us continues to be the highest priority.

Leiden University has implemented several measurements to meet the government requirements during the pandemic; these will obviously affect the teaching at LUC. This webpage will explain what the impact is and what you can expect this coming semester. It includes many recommendations made by the Online Learning Taskforce, run by the Programme Council in June-July, who reflected on the block 4 experiences from staff and students. The Board of Examiners has also provided feedback and recommendations.

The success of this semester depends on each individual taking responsibility for our collective health. Wash your hands, keep 1,5 meter distance and wear your facemask when that is difficult. If you have symptoms (sore throat, fever, cough, runny nose, sneezing) organize a test and self-quarantine in your room. See the information on living at AvB.

There is a lot of information, please take the time to read it carefully. As the pandemic evolves the government and university regulations will change and this will also affect LUC teaching. Please consult this page regularly in case there are updates.
