Impact Challenges are extracurricular, project-based courses in which you work towards solving a current problem of an external partner of the Honours Academy, in order to make an impact on a real-world issue. Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Find solutions to current issues

The aim of Impact Challenges is to use your knowledge and skills to help solve a problem of one of our partner organisations. These can include societal organisations, municipalities as well as companies. In small, interdisciplinary teams, you will investigate the problem, conduct interviews, design solutions and present them to the stakeholders involved. Consequently, you develop skills that will serve you well in your future career.

Topics

In the past, Impact Challenges have been offered in cooperation with Dutch telecommunication company KPN and the municipality of Leiden. 

In September, the full selection of Impact Challenges for the upcoming academic year will be made available in the Prospectus. 

Study load and certificate

Impact Challenges can constitute 5 or 10 EC. Upon successful completion, you will receive an Impact Challenge Certificate and have your Impact Challenge mentioned on your diploma supplement as an extracurricular course.
