International Office
Are you interested in taking courses or doing research in a different country? The Science International Office is your first point of contact when going abroad as part of your study programme!
We can help you with:
Going on exchange
Going on exchange means taking courses at a partner university. For Science students, two exchange programmes are available:
Faculty exchange: this programme is run by the Science International Office. Information on the faculty exchange programme can be found under the ‘Science’ tabs on the ‘Exchange’ pages. All questions regarding the programme may be directed to the Science International Office. This includes administrative requirements, such as your Learning Agreement.
University-wide exchange: this programme is open to all faculties, and run at a central level by Student and Educational Affairs. Information on the uni-wide exchange programme can be found under the ‘General’ tabs on the ‘Exchange’ pages. For questions about the programme, please contact SEA.
Doing an internship/research, fieldwork or summer school
Students should arrange their own application. The Science International Office can help you with:
- Necessary administrative requirements;
- Requesting (third party) grants.
For academic questions, please contact your study programme.
Studying abroad independently
Students who want to take courses at a non-partner university, i.e. independently, are known as ‘free movers’. Free movers must arrange their own application at their host university. All free movers must inform the Science International Office of their plans. The Science International Office can help you with:
- Necessary administrative requirements;
- Requesting third party grants.
Scholarships
The Science International Office can help with questions about:
- Scholarship options available to you;
- Applying for a scholarship;
- DUO and OV-compensation/student finance.
