Day 2 - 9 March 2022

Each round includes presentations and workshops. The presentations last 45 minutes, the workshops 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Round 1

peter van de voort

Peter van der Voort, senator for the Democratic party D66 / Head of Intensive Care Department

At the intersection of a medical, organizational, and political perspective.
Peter van der Voort started his career as a medical doctor. In his work as intensivist he became more and more interested in organizational aspects of health-care organizations. Therefore, he accepted a position at TIAS, the business school from Tilburg University to be involved in the Master Health Administration. The organization of health care appears to be of great importance for the outcome of health care delivery. However, the organization of care is partly determined by legislation. This necessitated him to become politically active which resulted in being a senator for the Democratic party D66. With these three positions he is in the middle of a dynamic force field with three perspectives that determine health care. In the corona crisis these three perspectives became in a rough tide and crashes were unavoidable.

justice en peace

Anne van Eijndhoven, Justice & Peace

Working for a Dutch human rights NGO
Working for a human rights organisation enables you to contribute to a better world. But how? As Justice & Peace we believe that local change makers are key to human rights and social justice for everyone, everywhere. We focus on supporting international human rights defenders at risk (Shelter City) and on developing community sponsorship in the Netherlands, allowing groups of friends to support refugees in finding their own place in their new local community (Samen Hier). You can work in different positions at a human rights NGO, which are all crucial to achieving its goal: a better world.
