Research Internships in the field of Sustainability and Development focus on the challenges presented by the need to find ways in which consumption, usage, production, recycling and reusage can be brought in line with current societal needs. The Research Internships included in this category are being provided by municipalities, non-governmental public-private bodies, and occasionally also by companies.

* Research-Driven Internships (sponsored) in Port City Regions in Ghana and Morocco
In the academic year 2024-2025, the project 'Sea-ing Africa: Tracing Legacies and Engaging Future Promises of 'Big' Infrastructure Projects in Port City Regions in Ghana and Morocco' will be pleased to host students from all three tracks of the MSc Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology and from the MA African studies. A total of ten students can be selected, five for carrying out their fieldwork project in Ghana, five in Morocco.

Vitaliteit, Leefstijl, en een Gezonde Omgeving
Deze PiP stage biedt de mogelijkheid tot het doen van Master onderzoek in Leiden Noord rond thema’s op het vlak van vitaliteit en gezondheid zoals bijvoorbeeld eenzaamheid, gezondheid en leefstijl, of manieren waarop de publieke ruimte gezond gedrag kan stimuleren. Het onderzoek zal gedaan worden in samenwerking met Leren met de Stad en welzijnsorganisatie Incluzio, en wordt zo veel mogelijk vanuit het onderzoeksatelier op de locatie van Leren met de Stad in Leiden Noord uitgevoerd.
