Research Internships in the field of Sustainability and Development focus on the challenges presented by the need to find ways in which consumption, usage, production, recycling and reusage can be brought in line with current societal needs. The Research Internships included in this category are being provided by municipalities, non-governmental public-private bodies, and occasionally also by companies.

Greenport West-Holland (GPWH) is one of the world’s most innovative regions in the field of greenhouse horticulture. Here, horticulture entrepreneurs, local and regional authorities, educational and research institutions work together through the triple helix organization that also bears the name of Greenport West-Holland. GPWH as an organization is actively committed to working towards a healthy, sustainable and vital future for the regional horticulture sector. One of GPWH’s ambitions is to become the first climate neutral Greenport in the Netherlands.

* Bijplaatsen van grofvuil en huisvuil in het Omegaplantsoen en de Slaaghwijk

De gemeente wil in kaart laten brengen hoe bewoners zelf de overlast ervaren, welke type bewoner afval naast de containers plaatst, en hoe bewoners de afvaldiensten van de gemeente ervaren (bv. het gebruik van een afvalpas en het ophalen van grofvuil). De gemeente wil verder graag weten welke relatie de bewoners hebben met hun buurt en of culturele waarden een rol spelen in de relatie tussen het gebruik van de publieke ruimte en de afvalproblematiek.
