Learning disabilities

Students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia or autism have the right to take written exams in a separate room. You will also get more time to finish the exam (3 hours instead of 2). This also applies to retakes.

If this is your case, please send an e-mail to onderwijs@arch.leidenuniv.nl, (1 week before the exam takes place, at the latest), with a cc to the Study Adviser. Moreover, you need to inform the study advisor of your situation at the beginning of your studies.

In the e-mail, please state:
- your name
- studentnumber
- the exams concerned: title, date and time

Also specify what you need: more time, quiet room, exams in large print, or use of a laptop (the latter is only granted in very specific cases, and has to be requested via the Board of Examiners).

Calling in sick

If you cannot participate in an exam due to illness, please notify the Administration Office in advance, not after the exam has taken place.
