Uitzonderlijke aanmeldregeling: aan je master Archeologie beginnen voordat je bachelor is afgerond

15 mei 2020

The University is providing an option for third-year bachelor’s students students who have encountered a study delay because of the corona measures and wish to begin a master’s programme in the 2020-2021 academic year.

For the master’s programme in Archaeology this means that you will be allowed to complete your bachelor’s programme during the 2020-2021 academic year and will already be allowed to begin your master’s programme on 1 September 2020. You will have to have completed your bachelor’s programme by 31 August 2021 at the latest.

The following additional conditions apply: you will need to have accumulated 160 EC worth of bachelor’s courses by 1 September 2020. We expect that the missing 20 EC are the credits for theses that are dependant of on-campus labwork or material analysis, and internship/fieldwork projects which could not be completed due to the corona- outbreak. All other students are advised to start in February.

What do you need to do?

If you want to start with your master's programme in September 2020, you will need to start your application process soon. If you are not going to be able to complete your bachelor’s programme before the end of the academic year, please see the master’s programme's website for more information and what action you will need to take before 15 June.

You will find the information on the specialisation's page:

MA Archaeology

This measure does not apply to MA Archaeology (research)

If you have already started your application process, you will only be required to follow the fourth and final step.
