Online Sustainability Summer Programme at University of Exeter
The Sustainability Summer Programme is delivered online by the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences to help everyone see how STEM can support the ultimate goal of sustainability. The programme is delivered in two chunks of one week modules; the first week an overarching theme of projects within Mining, Engineering, Renewable Technologies, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, and the second week with our Exeter School on Urban Analytics.
The first week focus offer students the chance to join a project to see how the above areas can help society build towards sustainability and looks at ideas such as technology and sustainable extraction of earth’s resources. The programme is aimed at any student studying within the fields of Engineering, Geology, Mathematics, Physical Sciences and similar subjects.
The second week involves our Exeter School on Urban Analytics from our Computer Science department to look at how we can use computational tools and programmes to track our ever expanding urbanisation of the world and make it more sustainable. The programme is aimed at students with experience of coding, in particular with Python.
Each segment of the programme costs £200 or £350 to do the entire 2 week programme and scholarships are available. Applications and further information on the programme are accessible via our International Summer School website www.exeter.ac.uk/internationalsummerschool.
Spaces on our accredited courses with our International Summer School are also filling up and we are happy to be able to offer any student from FGGA an Early Bird discount providing they apply before 28th April 2021. This would equate to 10% off their total programme fee unless they receive a scholarship from us which would bring the programme fee down even lower.
