Ieder jaar wordt er door de universiteit een CO2-voetafdruk opgesteld. Dit is een visuele weergave van de milieu-impact van de Universiteit Leiden. Ook voor het afgelopen jaar (2020) is er weer een CO2-voetafdruk gemaakt, met daarin een opvallende trendbreuk qua energieverbruik, mobiliteit en afval.
