Faculty and study programme regulations

At faculty and study programme level there are various regulations in place to ensure that everything runs as it should. For example, there are thesis and faculty regulations, as well as rules and guidelines on assessments, exams, degree classifications and plagiarism.

As a student, the most important regulations you will come across in terms of your education are your study programme's ‘Course and Examination Regulations’ (known as OER in Dutch).

Onderwijs- en Examen Regeling (OER)

Course and Examination Regulations (OER) state the contents of your programme and the specialisations within the programme. They also state the attainment levels of your programme. Furthermore, they contain regulations on examinations and the order in which courses should be taken. On the one hand, the Course and Examination Regulations provide you with the rules you need to comply with in order to finish your studies. On the other hand, you can derive certain rights from these regulations.

You can find the Course and Exam Regulations for the programmes of the Facultly of Governance and Global Affairs on the regulations page

How the program is arranged is regulated in the Course and Examination Regulations (OER). The exam commissioner then establishes the rules and regulations (R&R).
