Study associations

A study association is a good way to combine study-related activities with pleasure. Every faculty has one or more study association.

Study Associations at Leiden Law School

A study association is an association for, and organised by, students of the same study programme or who share similar academic interests.

Activities

Study associations organise study-enhancing activities such as conferences, study trips and visits to firms. They also organise lectures and excursions and some supply study books and mock examinations. Social events are also organised including drinks, gala evenings and other festivities.

Structure

Most associations have an administrative board and a number of committees. Board members normally receive a grant while the other active members are usually volunteers. In some cases active members are also provided with some form of funding. This is at the discretion of the board of the association concerned.
