Free HPV vaccination without appointment at Plexus

19 June 2023

HPV vaccination protects you against cancer of the mouth, throat, anus, penis, vagina, labia and cervix. Were you born between 1996 and 2003 and are you not yet (fully) vaccinated against HPV? You can get vaccinated for free - this year only. This also applies to international students.

80% get HPV

Eight out of ten people will get infected with HPV at some point in their lives. You can get the virus from having sex with someone who is infected, and also via the hands, skin and mouth. HPV can cause cancer in both women and men. If you are already sexually active, it still makes sense to get vaccinated as it will protect you against possible future infections.

Successful first round of HPV vaccinations at Plexus

On Thursday 11 May, for the first time, both students and non-students could get a HPV vaccination at Plexus Student Centre. It was really busy! In just two and a half hours, 80 young people got their jabs for free. On Thursday 25 May, the temporary GGD vaccination centre at Plexus will open its doors once again.
