Psychology: Join the Master Recruitment Team
Do you easily connect with other people, and do you enjoy inspiring others about your master’s specialisation? Are you looking for a small extra activity next to your master’s programme that is fun and looks good on your CV? Join the Master Recruitment Team!
Note
This vacancy has already been filled for Applied Cognitive Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Economic and Consumer Psychology, Methodology and Statistics in Psychology, School Psychology, and Social and Organisational Psychology. For all other one-year master specialisations and all specialisations of the research master, this vacancy is still open.
What do you do?
-
You are present during (online) events and talk about your experiences with the master’s specialisation (28 August at the Master’s Kick Off and 9 or 10 October at the Master's Open Day);
-
You supervise the Student for a Day activities: with students who register for these activities you drink a cup of coffee and - if possible - attend a lecture or work group (sometimes of a course you were already going to attend!);
-
You host one welcome session per semester for new students;
-
You occasionally answer questions from interested students via e-mail;
-
And you will be available for extra activities, such as writing a text for our two yearly newsletter.
This is in total between 20 and 40 hours per year (so on average less than an hour per week).
What do you get in return?
-
You will be paid according to the number of hours you work;
-
You will be part of a team of Student Information Officers of the various master’s specialisations - good for your social and professional network;
-
You will work for the Psychology Communications Team - good for your CV and LinkedIn.
-
You will be briefed and trained by the Master Student Ambassador, who manages the team.
Does this sound like fun? And are you available until September 2026? Then send us an e-mail with your CV and a short motivation, in which you introduce yourself and describe why you are a fit for the job! Don't forget to mention your master’s specialisation.
You can send an e-mail to Student Ambassador Emma Fraterman at ambassador.mscpsy@fsw.leidenuniv.nl. Interviews will be held (online) on 2, 3, and 5 June.
We would like to hear from you before 20 May!
