This year, the LGBT+ Network will once again be joining the Leiden Canal Pride parade on September 7, 2024 with its own boat in order to support all members of the LGBTQIA+ community at Leiden University.  This years’ theme will be Leiden University, space to be trans*. 

While we usually associate trans* with trans*gender and gender non-conforming identities, we use trans* here with an even broader meaning, highlighting also trans*cultural and trans*formative experiences of finding new communities and growing as a queer person at the university.  With this theme, the Leiden University community expresses its support for the trans and non-binary community of Leiden University, while also recognizing that everybody at the university has their own trans*formative/gressive/itive experiences.
