Stand as a candidate for the 2026 university elections
The university elections will be held from 18 till 21 May 2026. You can submit your candidacy on 14 and 15 April. As a student, you can stand this year for the University Council, the Faculty council and the Student Council of LUMC. Would you like to represent the interests of students this year?
Why stand as a candidate?
Not only does a role in the University participation bodies give you the chance to represent student interests, but it also ensures good management. In addition, it gives you the opportunity to develop your networking, negotiating, arguing and policy-assessment skills. And you will be first to hear about the latest developments at the University.
How can I stand as a candidate?
To stand as a candidate, you need to complete the necessary forms and submit them at the polling station. Read more details on what steps to take. On the campaign page you will find more information about the elections.
What do the participation bodies do?
The University Council, faculty councils and employee councils monitor how our university is run, give solicited and unsolicited advice and help decide on important issues. The University Council does this at the Executive Board level and the faculty councils do this at the faculty level. Read more about their work and how to contact them on the campaign page.
