A special edition of the Grotius Dialogues featuring Yusra Suedi (University of Manchester) discussing her recent monograph, The Individual in the Law and Practice of the International Court of Justice.

We'll be joined by our own Jason Rudall and Momchil Milanov (ICJ) for a multifaceted commentary and Q&A with the author.  Here are a few words on the discussion ahead:

In 'The Individual in the Law and Practice of the International Court of Justice', Dr Yusra Suedi exposes one of international law's most persistent blind spots: the marginalisation of individuals in proceedings before the International Court of Justice.  While states contest borders, maritime boundaries, and treaty obligations, the individuals at the heart of these disputes remain frustratingly peripheral.  This book makes the case — with doctrinal rigour and fresh analytical insight — that both the Court's practice and its own legal logic demand far more.  Join us for a roundtable conversation with the author.
