Alex Reuneker awarded Frans van Eemeren prize

University lecturer Alex Reuneker has won the Frans van Eemeren Prize for his paper 'Assessing classification reliability of conditionals in discourse'.

Reuneker is delighted with the award: 'I feel honoured to have been awarded this international prize, which I received on Friday 30 September in Rome. Besides the honour and a nice financial award, the prize also includes a publication in Argumentation (Springer), which I am very happy about. I also would like to thank my colleagues in the Discourse Studies Section (Dutch Language & Culture) who are always willing to share their thoughts and provide critical feedback.'
