Recognition for outstanding master’s programmes at Leiden Law School

Both Child Law (LL.M.) and Public International Law (Advanced LL.M.) score above average across the board in the 2026 ‘Keuzegids Masters’. The assessment is based on the National Student Survey, in which students evaluate their own study programme.

The Keuzegids assesses university (and university of applied sciences) master’s programmes based on the content of the study, the quality of the lecturers, assessment methods, career preparation and the overall atmosphere. For the 2026 edition, the compilers used the results of the 2025 National Student Survey.

Both Child Law (LL.M.) and Public International Law (Advanced LL.M.) score above average on all assessed criteria. The master’s programmes International Financial Law (Advanced LL.M.) and Law & Society (MSc) achieved above‑average scores in four of the five categories.

Vice Dean Jan Crijns is delighted with the results. ‘The Faculty Board congratulates the master’s programmes Child Law, Law & Society, Public International Law, and International Financial Law on their excellent scores in the Keuzegids Masters. These impressive results are entirely due to the years of hard work put in by everyone involved in these programmes.'

The Advanced master’s programme International Financial Law used to be called Law and Finance. This article uses the programme’s current name.
