The ESA Academy Academic Scholarship Programme aims to facilitate access to space-related European education programmes by covering the tuition fees of selected students from ESA member and associate member states, and Canada. In doing so, it enables students to complement their academic knowledge and better prepare themselves for a space-related career.

In order to promote our Eurolife partners, 3 scholarships of € 500 each are available for our outgoing LUMC students.

The Ferial Chummun Scholarship is intended for female Portuguese students who wish to obtain their master’s (MSc) degree in Astronomy at the University of Leiden and meet all criteria for admission.

The Graça Machel scholarship is intended for female South African students who wish to follow the Master of Laws Advanced Studies programme in International Children’s Rights and meet all criteria for admission.

The purpose of the International Peace and Justice Master Fund is to provide scholarships for Master’s students in the area of peace, international law or security. These are exclusively for nationals of countries that are eligible for the Orange Knowledge Programme.

Each year the Jo Keur fonds awards grants to (bio)medical students for research projects during internships and course electives abroad.

The Kuiper-Overpelt Study Fund is a scholarship programme for talented students from developing countries who wish to follow the Master of Laws Advanced Studies programme in International Children’s Rights and meet all criteria for admission.

The LDE GMD Seed Fund provides funding for migration and diversity-related research, events and community projects that stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration and interuniversity engagement. Funding is available for individual and teams of master's students, PhD candidates and researchers.

The aim of the Leiden Empowerment Fund (LEF) is to enable all students and academics at Leiden University to realise their ambitions by creating an academic environment with equal opportunities for all.

The LSC scholarship is provided by the Faculty of Science of Leiden University. The scholarship is available for all non-EU/EEA students who are admitted into one of the two-year master’s programmes of the Faculty of Science and who hold a relevant bachelor’s degree from a Chinese university.

The LSI scholarship is provided by the Faculty of Science of Leiden University. The scholarship is available for all non-EU/EEA students who are admitted into one of the two-year master’s programmes of the Faculty of Science and who hold a relevant bachelor’s degree from a Indonesian university.

For excellent students joining a full-time Leiden University Master's degree programme - with the exception of LLM (non-advanced) and MSc programmes at Leiden Law School.

Leiden University College (LUC) offers financial support to a limited number of students who may otherwise not be able to attend. Both enrolled students and future students of LUC can request financial support.

This fund is intended for students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence and a strong motivation to promote Euro-Arab dialogue.

Leiden University students and recent graduates sometimes miss out on the regular exchange programmes, despite having an original plan for a project abroad. The LUF International Study Fund (LISF) can help them by securing funding for their project.
