Get together at the university

There are countless ways to meet new people, at your own study programme and faculty or anywhere else in the university.

Looking for a cozy place to relax or get creative? Come to the Living Room on the ground floor of Plexus Student Centre. Here you can also find a Well-being Desk with a welcoming host who can answer your questions, provide information on well-being services, offer a listening ear, and assist in organising activities with you or for you.

Certain faculties offer POPcorner. POPcorner is a meeting point for and by students where you can make contacts, follow workshops, organise activities, share your experiences and find a listening ear. The POPcorner helps you find your way within the faculty and during your studies.

The University Sports Centre has a wide range of sports on offer in Leiden and The Hague. Besides the gym facilities they also offer lessons in more than 55 different sports: from ballet to self defense sports, from yoga to spinning and from pole fitness to boxing. You can also join a student sports association. In addition to a sporting challenge at many levels, the clubs offer a social environment in which you can get to know many people.
As a student, you sport for a very reasonable price.
 University Sports Centre (USC)

The University Sports Centre (USC) offers a range of online sports tutorials via YouTube, to make sure you get enough exercise and relaxation. Handy if you are studying from home or if you want to try out a new sport.

As well as being fun, associations can offer you a social network and a range of worthwhile activities. Many students find that association membership enriches their student days and contributes to their enjoyment of their studies.

A study association is a good way to combine study-related activities with having fun. There are also many student associations in which students from various disciplines and with various interests come together for fun, sports and cultural activities.
